I LOVE CodeHS and all of the options it has for classes. I have students that not only complete the required course that I teach, but also have me sign them up for courses of interest to them that they complete FOR FUN!
The kids absolutely love it. I love the fact that these activities have no ceiling and the students can do some amazing things. This is one of the most exciting things of my career so far. I have absolutely loved it.
Last year, my students LOVED the VEX robots. It was very cool to see how fast they adapted to building and coding. 4th grade science learns about energy & circuits. The Robot Arm was a perfect lesson to have a hands on experience with this.

Although I've supplemented with the free version of CodeHS in the past, it felt like a leap of faith to pay for the full version. But after struggling with time last year and feeling like I owed my students more, I pulled the trigger on this at the end of the summer. The four webinars you all offered were super helpful and I was able to squeeze enough time between helping all my other teachers to orient myself pretty well to the program.
I was shocked at how fast they responded and how quickly they were able to get me helped. I plan on getting the pro version but am waiting on district purchasing to do that and therefor am on the free version but I was still able to helped quickly and effectively. I'm so glad I switched over from Code.org!

Using CodeHS with the PRO features to teach Python 3 with Tracy to my students was wonderful. Synching the gradebook with Google Classroom shaved hours off my work time. I made stickers for each of the “badges” and students couldn’t wait to master each skill so they could display their badges on their iPad cases.
I got some good news yesterday - One of my coding club seniors graduated last week and took a GMetrix python certification test yesterday. He passed!!! He took the GMetrix course, but said it wouldn’t have been possible without our Thursday afternoon CodeHS sessions.
We are good. All three of my students who took the exam passed. We are SOOOO excited. Huge win for our school. This was the first year we taught this class - Python with Arduino- and took the CodeHS Python certification.

The high-quality resources available through CodeHS allow me to spend 90% of my time working with individual students or small groups, for a more personalized learning experience. The autograding allows me to see my students’ needs in real time, and to respond to those needs.

I've found the (assignment beta) collab mode extremely useful for differentiation as well - I can easily add starter code or comments to individual students without having to make a whole new assignment, which has been a huge help. Thanks again!
The support team is awesome, quick to respond, and has great answers. The autograder is invaluable. The videos are high quality and I appreciate the option to use the slides instead. I like that one of the examples usually matches the video. The exercises are challenging but not too challenging. I use the solution to the exercises all the time because we often get stuck on what the autograder wants.
AI implementation of plagiarism - still learning, but is very helpful this year. Tech support is always amazing as well!

It's the best (AP CSP) preparatory set of questions out there…Without CodeHS, I would not be able to average as high of scores on the AP Exam as I did in my first year as a CompSci teacher. It is extremely important that our district knows this - it is an ESSENTIAL tool and I would be lost without it.
The program has been improving each year and the addition of Cybersecurity makes CodeHS a cut above the rest!

...my students can't get enough from it. They love creating and do coding to build a program. My students are in the program every minute of it and worse part is, they don't want to learn other subject, they just asked about when do we do coding.

The provided lesson plans (are) excellent. Not only did they help walk you through the lessons with minute by minute pacing guides, they provide you with materials to help accommodate all students’ needs, from students with accommodations to advanced learners to non-english speaking students.
Kudos to the creator of the p5.JS curriculum. It is stellar. ... In addition, while only just completing Unit 2 of the Web design course, the pacing and exercises, and quizzes, and slides, and everything is just so impressive. Particularly I like how the exercises pertain to the audience- diary, daily schedule, personal interests etc. My (all girls) students LOVE coding, and these are students who are supposed to HATE coding. First off I would like to say thank you. I had 99 students take the AP CSP exam and my pass rate was 79%, up from 77% the previous school year. CodeHS provides excellent teaching and grading tools. Also, CodeHS has been awesome to work with as the company and support provided me the opportunity to teach different subjects in the same class using Google Classroom, YouTube and the CodeHS Virtual platform.
The platform is designed to suit any and every teacher's needs, the tools are incredible, it is designed for teacher and student success. I was grateful to have access as a teacher.
I used to say "technology is not my thing" because it was hard for me. This course helped me realize that I can still learn hard things and that I can grow and learn with the changing technology available to us as teachers. I think the knowledge that I gained while completing this course will help me become a better teacher for my students.
That [Fundamentals of Cybersecurity] looks like a great course. I previously worked for a cybersecurity consulting firm and I appreciate the course's coverage of essential concepts such as the CIA triad and not just delving into 'how to be a hacker' material, which is so common (and off the mark).
I am really enjoying the [AI] bootcamp! . . .I have also already been using many of the things I learned and implemented them in my AP CS Principles class!
By the way, the [IN AI Bootcamp] course has been great. I have taken advantage of several items I have learned already savings me hours of work. Plus I already seen where I will be using several of these items in my classes next year.

...it's super neat that I got to be on a Zoom call...with one of the founders because I was just talking about some features I'd like to see on the platform and, he actually listened...half of them were in development already. So obviously, they knew it was just kind of neat that, they would listen to the users, which is great. So that's why I've been pretty committed with [CodeHS] ever since.
Using CodeHS for K-5 this year and loving the lessons
I had previously attempted this test but didn't succeed even after using a paid study service, which I won't name. It was only after preparing with the CodeHS program that I went in feeling confident and remained assured throughout the exam. I felt like I already knew that I had passed even before receiving my score report. While using CodeHS, there were instances where I faced challenges with the content or had questions, but luckily their team always replied to my emails within 20 minutes. I am grateful to CodeHS for aiding me in achieving my goals!
I finished the CodeHS FTCE Prep course and it was instrumental in me passing the certification exam!
When I was told late last spring that I had to teach CODING for the first time in my 35 years of teaching, I started looking for another job... I found a 2 day “New Teacher Workshop” with CodeHS on the Indiana Department of Education website. I enrolled and completed it, then I completed the Bootcamp for Web Design. I still have a lot to learn, but I am improving. **Thank you for helping this poor old Business Teacher to grow even more.**
CodeHS has been wonderful for my classroom. The scholars have really enjoyed having **hands on practice**. Many who finish the work quickly have also been making use of the sandbox to make their own Karel programs. Overall the **curriculum is fantastic**, flows well from one to the next, and provides perfect supports to help all of my scholars to succeed.
